Working from still lifes, photographs and models, discover all aspects of drawing such as composition, perspective, proportions and values. Students will experiment with multiple mediums such as pencil, charcoal and paints, and any other medium they feel comfortable in. Experimentation is encouraged! Students will attain a broader understanding of how light and shadow defines 3-dimensional objects and how to place them in an atmosphere. All levels welcome.

Working in a painting medium the student feels most comfortable in, this intermediate course travels deeper into the world of painting. Working from still life, photographs, and models, the student will have a true understanding of how to mix colors and place certain elements next to each other to achieve a realistic feel. Different eras of art will be discussed such as the renaissance, impressionism, and modern art to show how paint can be applied in several ways. Individual styles will be encouraged!
